Japan advances so rapidly that inspired other nations. After they had lost the war devastated by atomic bombs, often rocked by the earthquake and tsunami, but still solid. Philosophy and what is their motivation?
Kaizen, that's one of the principles that the Japanese practiced and proved a very positive impact for the betterment of the nation's Sunrise. After World War II, kaizen focused on increasing productivity and quality management of Japanese companies. This we can see from the quality of the products produced Japan and Japanese management systems company famously efficient and effective. Now many sweet fruits that are picked thanks to the Japanese practice of kaizen.
The term "Kaizen" in Japanese means "continuous improvement" (a process of continuous improvement is relentless). Kaizen philosophy holds that our lives should focus on continuous improvement efforts. On its application in the company, includes the notion of kaizen continuous improvement that involves all employees, from top management to lower level management.
The kaizen philosophy that distinguishes the ordinary is in the process improvement. KAIZEN himself in the process it always happens continuously, every year, every month, every week, even every day. And the process has no end because change is something that is permanent.
"Plan - Do - Check - Act" One of the first steps is the application of kaizen run cycle "Plan - Do - Check - Act" (PDCA) to ensure implementation of the sustainability of kaizen. It consists of:
1. Plan
Setting targets for improvement and formulation of action plans to achieve these targets.
2. Do
Implementation of the plan has been made.
3. Check
Inspection activities of all the procedures that have been implemented in order to make sure it goes according to plan as well as monitor the progress that has been taken.
4. Act
The third follow up steps taken at once decided the new procedures in order to avoid the recurrence of the same problem or set new goals for the next improvement.
This cycle rotates constantly punctuated by cycles "Standarize - Do - Check - Act" (SDCA) in between. In step "Standarize" in this cycle, all new procedures that have been decided in step "Do" in the PDCA cycle prior to being approved as guidelines that must be met. SDCA focus on maintenance activities, while PDCA refers more to repair.
So actually to achieve the quality of life we want, must continually improve yourself. Never stop at one point when the whole world changed. If we stop to compose herself in one stage, we will be left behind by progress. Remember, times are always changing wheels. So, be open to a change for the better.
